Website Migration

A: The website migration service that we are offering is free of charge (to a certain extent). We will migrate your site(s) to our first–rate cloud hosting platform without you having to do anything. We know from experience that swapping web hosting providers can result in lost information and undesirable downtime. That’s the reason why we’ll accomplish all that for you at no cost!We have knowledgeable administrators whose main assignment is to make sure that your website performs precisely as it did on your previous web hosting platform. Our administrators are experts in migrating custom–built websites, as well as websites that are based upon popular web applications such as Joomla^™ and WordPress.

A: While we can’t give you a precise time interval, because there are many variables, among them the size of the web files and databases, the location of the present host’s server, the complexity of your site and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our best to transfer your web site within 48 hours, and in certain cases – within 24 hours (in case the website content is not large).

A: We do not require any private information. We’ll require, however, the login info for your present hosting account as well as the name of the site that you’d like to migrate.

A: In order for us to start the transfer of your web hosting account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us requires that you to disclose essentially the same info you have provided to your old web hosting provider. We also have a very rigorous Privacy Policy, which describes how personal info is handled.

A: While we migrate your web site, it will be available both in your hosting account with us and in your account with your former hosting provider. When the migration is completed, we will ensure that everything is working properly and that the integrity of your content is not compromised prior to notifying you that the transfer is complete. Then we will explain to you how to transfer the domain over to your hosting account with us and how to modify the DNS settings.

A: While we transfer your web content, your web hosting provider will not be aware of the migration at all. We will not get in touch with them in any way.

A: Yep. We support all traditional Linux–based hosting platforms. We do not support Windows–based web hosting platforms, since we do not provide Windows web hosting solutions ourselves.We also don’t support proprietary site building and administration interfaces such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
